Health and Global AI

Health and global AI is a major application area that concerns human health and well-being as well as the environment we live in. AI has many applications for health, ranging from systems that automatically generate new medical discoveries, diagnostic techniques and treatments to those that use multi sensory data for early health diagnosis or management of medical conditions. AI can also be used to predict or address major economic, geopolitical, societal, and technological risks, ranging from pandemics to large-scale conflicts and poverty. Additionally it can improve our ability to understand, predict, monitor, and manage natural systems and environmental risks such as climate change. Research in this area involves collaboration between AI and clinical, environmental, global, social and other sciences.
